Pope Criticizes Bishops on Sex Abuse Scandal: “Crisis Very Badly Handled” (AP)—A real loose canon.

AdT’s Homily:

In 2001, when he was Cardinal Ratzinger, Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF), formerly known as the Holy Office of the Inquisition when medieval waterboarding, testicle crushing and burning at the stake were considered to be virtuous acts, Ole Ratty sent a letter to every single Catholic bishop instructing them how to deal with the threat posed to the Church by child victim terrorists.

Highlights of Josephus Card. Ratzinger Praefectus’ “Epistula De Delictis Gravioribus” (January 2001):

1. “Pontifical secrecy” to be maintained for a period of ten years after the victim reaches the age of eighteen when the legal statute of limitations runs out on the case (when the victim reaches the age of 28).

2. Penalty for breaking silence on the matter: Instant excommunication from the Catholic Church ("latae sententiae") and cold turkey curtailment of access to choir boys.

3. The Holy See to privately conduct the investigation of sex abuse cases; not unlike having former Atty. General Gonzeles’ Justice Dept. investigate violations of the law by members of the Justice Dept. Yeah, right.

Amen and Abu Ghraib.
