Pope Appeals for Middle East Cease-Fire (AP)--Hey, Lederhosen Boy, talk is cheap. You REALLY want to stop the carnage? In five minutes or less? Get your ass over there, stick a bunch of sanctified GPS devices all over your Popemobile announcing your Holy Presence, and drive around Beirut non-stop. Better still, get a whole fleet of Popemobiles and wheel them around Lebanon, especially in the south. That’ll give the Israelis more pause than Mel Gibson’s motormouth. Keep ‘em guessing. Have we bombed the Pope yet or not?
